New Laptop Acer 5951G, 8951G detachable touchpads Acer this week has announced a couple of upcoming laptops as part of its Aspire Ethos lineup. Called the 5951G and 8951G, both laptops will have the unique option for users to remove the touchpad from the laptop base. Once detached, the touchscreen touchpad will be able to function as a multimedia remote control. This option would definitely appeal to users who use their portable PCs in home theater sets or for video-on-demand viewing.
Acer Aspire 5951G laptop is brings a 15.6-inch LED backlit display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, a pair of built-in speakers and one hard drive. The Acer Aspire 8951G has an 18.4-inch LED-backlit display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, five speakers, and one HDD with one SSD.
Other features include 802.11n WiFi, LAN, Bluetooth 3.0, HD webcam, Dolby Home Theater v4, built-in stereo speakers (two for 5951G and five for 8951G), a detachable touchpad that doubles as a media remote, and clear fi media sharing system.
The Processors on both laptops supports the Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 that offer the latest and fastest processing power, multitasking and deliver great media processing for a great gaming experience.
The Aspire Ethos 5951G and Aspire Ethos 8951G features USB 3.0 port for faster transfer data, with a much-needed PowerSmart long life battery that offers 80 percent capacity for over 1000 charging which is cycles (three times more than normal laptop batteries), InstantOn Arcade key for fast booting and Clear.fi for automatically detecting the clear.fi-enabled devices connected to the wireless home network.
