Dell’s Adamo 13 ultrathin laptop is now available only @ $899 (Market value $1099). New Dell’s Adamo 13 is a good alternative to apple’s 13 inch MacBook air, that costs you about $1299. It comes with super thin 13.4 inch screen with 1366×768 pixels resolution and it is equipped with Super-Fast Intel Core 2 Duo Processor with 4 GB DDR3 SDRAM. Battery backup of Dell’s Adamo is more than 5 hours on a fully charged battery. Aluminium Chassis brings more grace to Adamo’s looks. Dell’s Adamo is equipped with inbuilt 256 MB Intel GS45 GMA (Graphics Media Accelerator).
A Windows-based competitor to the MacBook Air, the Adamo 13 had come with an Intel Core 2 Duo lower-power processor running at 1.4GHz and 2GB of DDR3 memory. The latest version updates the processor to the 2.1GHz Core 2 Duo SL9600 and doubles the RAM to 4GB. Other specs remain, including a 128GB solid-state drive (in lieu of a hard drive), integrated graphics, Windows 7 Home Premium, and 1,366×768 LED-backlit 13.4-inch display.
While the SL9600 processor is a definite improvement, the Adamo 13 still isn’t going to be a high-octane system, though Dell has made the innards a little more appealing. The exterior already has appeal, given its 4-pound weight and a thickness of just 0.65 inches. And this could make a nice little post-Xmas present for yourself, if you need a laptop and still have some money left in your wallet.
