Samsung Series 2, 4, 6 Business Laptops Price has announced three new laptop lines, the Samsung Series 2, Series 4, and Series 6 business class laptops. All three models feature two different screen size options; the Series 2 and 4 have 12.5-inch and 14-inch screen size options and the Series 6 has a 14-inch and 15.6-inch screen.
Samsung Series 2 laptops are the budget line, coming in both 12.5-inch and 14-inch sizes (the 12.5-inch with a Celeron processor, the 14-inch with a Core i3 CPU). They come with 2 to 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, and a 1366 x 768 pixel display.
Samsung’s mid-range Series 4 is also offered in 12.5- and 14-inch sizes, but provides Core i3, i5, and i7 processors, up to 6GB RAM, up to 500GB HDD, a 6-cell battery for up to 7 hours of run time, and also Intel HD GPU.
The Series 6 are higher-end 14″ and 15.6″ Core i3 ~ i7 powered business-rugged notebooks with switchable graphics that combines the Intel HD with Nvidia NVS 4200M. Other specifications include up to 8GB of RAM, up to 500GB HDD or up to 256GB solid state drive, and up to 7 hours of battery life. Samsung’s 6 series laptops have reinforced magnesium alloy construction.
The new line also includes Samsung’s Fast Start technology which allows users to start working within 3 seconds of opening the laptop or pressing the sleep button. This is huge for anyone who’s ever stared at their Windows laptop and tapped keys hoping to wake it up faster. Fast Start also protects more of your data by automatically saving to the hard drive.
These straightforward business machines are expected to last up to 7 hours on the included 6-cell battery, but there’s also an option 9-cell for extra long life. Additionally, while the majority of the configurations have integrated Intel HD graphics, the Series 6 will also have an Nvidia graphics option with Optimus technology, which extends battery life by turning on the graphics card only when it’s needed.
